Kraft Paper Bag

Kraft Paper Bag
Product Introduction:

Kraft paper bags are an environmentally friendly packaging solution made primarily of high-strength kraft paper. They are widely used across various industries due to their excellent strength, recyclability, and brand display potential. Kraft paper bags can be categorized into several main types based on their bottom structure: square-bottom valve bags, square-bottom open bags, sewn-bottom open bags, self-opening bags, corner-vent bags, etc. Common sizes range from 400x150mm, 500x800mm to 600x1000mm to accommodate different load-bearing and usage requirements.

Description

Product Introduction

The production of kraft paper bags combines various processing technologies to ensure their performance and integrity. Multiple layers of kraft paper (typically 2-5 layers) are bonded together to significantly improve the bag's puncture resistance, tear resistance, and overall load-bearing strength. A layer of polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) film is laminated onto the kraft paper surface, forming an excellent moisture-proof, oil-proof, and gas-barrier barrier, suitable for humidity-sensitive products. For laminated bags, heat-sealing technology is used to create a sealed seam, providing airtightness superior to traditional sewing. Using cotton or synthetic fiber thread to sew the bag opening or bottom is a sturdy and reliable sealing method, especially suitable for bags with high load-bearing capacity. High-quality flexographic printing is possible, showcasing brand information and product details. The surface can be varnished or laminated to enhance visual appeal and durability.

Compared to multi-layered paper bags or composite material bags, single-layer paper bags have a simpler structure, more mature production processes, and relatively lower raw material and manufacturing costs, offering high cost-effectiveness. Single-layer paper bags made with suitable paper weights (e.g., 100-200gsm) possess sufficient strength and toughness to support the weight of everyday shopping items (such as clothing, shoe boxes, books, food, etc.). For packaging food (such as bread and takeout meals), the microporous structure of paper bags provides some breathability, preventing moisture buildup and maintaining the crispness and texture of the food. By changing the paper type, color, size, handle material, and surface treatment, paper bags of various grades and styles, from economical and practical to high-end luxury, can be produced to meet the needs of diverse customers.

Single- or multi-layered structures and high-quality kraft paper substrates give paper bags exceptional tensile, tear, and burst resistance, enabling them to withstand heavy loads and repeated handling. Primarily made from renewable wood pulp, they are recyclable and biodegradable, making them a sustainable alternative to plastic packaging.

For agricultural products that need to "breathe" (such as grains and potatoes) or building materials (such as cement), the natural breathability of kraft paper helps prevent spoilage. Through PE lamination or the addition of barrier coatings, properties such as moisture resistance, oil resistance, and oxidation resistance can be tailored to meet the specific needs of food and chemical products. The smooth surface of kraft paper is ideal for high-quality printing, effectively enhancing brand image. Empty bags can be flattened for transport and storage, saving space and reducing logistics costs.

Kraft paper bags, with their diverse bag designs and superior performance, are widely used in various fields such as building materials (e.g., cement, dry-mixed mortar), chemical industry (e.g., plastic granules, mineral powder), agricultural inputs (e.g., feed, seeds, fertilizer), food and beverage (e.g., flour, bread, coffee beans, pet food), and retail (e.g., shopping bags, takeaway bags, gift packaging).
